The art of pattern making is the backbone of the fashion industry. The course starts by introducing the students to the basic pattern making tools and teaching them how to take measurements. Initial work includes the creation of pockets, cuffs, plackets and vents. With the progression of the course, students move on to drafting patterns of skirts, shirts, sleeves and collars with different variations and styles. The aim of the course is to teach the students the pivotal patterns and their variations which can further be developed depending upon the ingenuity and creativity of the individual.
